Reps. Waxman, Dingell, and Brown write to HHS Secretary Michael O. Leavitt protesting the decision to permit Dr. von Eschenbach to lead the FDA while remaining the director of the NCI and requesting the appointment of a permanent commissioner who is free from conflicts of interest.
